Some people enjoy carrying cigars with them as they go out. However, it is important for the cigars to be protected from damage and moisture. There are some belt cigar holders that fasten onto a person's belt in the same way as a cell phone holder would. These cigar holders can be attached to a golf cart, chair or even a lawn mower. A person should choose a clip that he or she feels comfortable with and that is affordable and well made. Cigar clips can be made from stainless steel, wood or plastic.

There are other accessories that are important for a cigar smoker to have. A cigar cutter is important, as is a lighter and an ashtray. Lighters and ashtrays come in many sizes and styles. A person who enjoys smoking on a regular basis will likely want to have several decorative ashtrays placed in strategic locations around the home. Some people even collect unusual or particularly beautiful ashtrays and this can be a fun hobby. Many cigar smokers will buy a humidor and keep their cigars there instead of in a regular cigar box. Such people will swear that the humidor will enhance the taste of the cigar, although this is debatable.
